Blazestreak growled as he watcheed the sun getting lower. He had heard about a killer rampaging through the Clans, and he knew his had to be careful. Foreststar walked into camp, two mice hanging from her jaws. A light snow began to drift over the camp.
Stonefang paded out of the warriors den and looked up at the falling snow."I hope we get a medecine cat soon.We'll need one during leafbare."he mewed to himself.
"Hey Hawkclaw!" Fawnpelt meowed as she walked into the warriors den heavily. "Oh!" Hawkclaw yelped. He jumped. "Sorry... I was just erm.... thinking." he replied.
"Can I talk to you in the forest?" Fawnpelt asked. "Sure." he said uneasily as he followed Fawnpelt out of the den.
"What do you want to talk to me about?" he asked, clearly confused. "You know how you don't remember much of your past? Like Barkpelt?" she questioned. "Yea.." he replied. "Maybe you two could share tongues together and think hard about your past. Maybe that would jog your memory." she stated. "Yea.. Sure.." he said.
Hawkclaw walked into the warrior's den. He had a long scratch on his arm that was bleeding. He winced at the pain. "You ok?" Barkpelt asked. "You better go see Stargaze about that!" he demanded.
Stonefang looked tards Foreststar and felt suddenly very shy.She was talking with Blazestreak.He took a deep breath and paded over to them."Hi Foreststar."He mewed.
"Hmm, lets see." Stargaze murmured. "About 7 more days. And if this nursery is going to end up having billions of kits, call Rainpaw instead of me!" Stargaze joked. "OK, thanks Stargaze" Fawnpelt. Stargaze nodded. "Deerstep, are you having your kits?" he asked. Deerstep nodded.
Foreststar was aware that Stonefang would want to talk to her. "You need anything?" she asked. "Ahem.... um... no, do you want to go hunting with me?" Stonefang asked nervously. Foreststar smiled. "Of course! Anyway, I like you" Stongfang blushed, feeling embarrassed. "Me too" The smile on Foreststar's face grew wider. "Come on!" she said, licking Stonefang affectionatly on the ear. "Lets go!"
Blazestreak flattened his ears in disappointment when Foreststar walked off with another tom. "Oh well. I'd better go take out Wasppaw for a training session." He walked over to the apprentice den and called, "Wasppaw, get up. We're going to patrol our territory for Bloodpaw, then go hunting." The red tom shot up from his nest, wide awake. "Okay, that sounds cool." He answered. He glanced back at the the empty den and frowned. "Why did you wake me up so late? I'm the last one up." Blazestreak shrugged and replied, "With how good you did in battle training yesterday, I thought you might need some extra rest." "Okay then.. Do you think we could ask Barkpelt and Stonefang if they want to take Runningpaw and Seapaw with us?" "We could ask, I guess." Blazestreak replied, turning away and padding out of camp. (I'm taking this to apprentice den)
(Few days later....) Foreststar looked down at her swollen belly. They will be here soon! Excitement bubbled up inside her. She looked around for Stonefang. I need to tell him! He needs to know! "Stongfang!" Foreststar hissed. Stonefang nodded and followed Foreststar behind the warriors' den. "Hey Foreststar, by the way. I KNOW you are having kits!" Stongfang said. "How?" Foreststar exclaimed. "Well, ahem. Stargaze told me" Stonefang said. "So, did he tell you how long will I have to wait?" Foreststar asked impatintly. "A moon at least." Stonefang replied. "They're going to be beautiful kits!" Stonefang murmured, licking his mate affectionately on the ear.
Blazestreak entered camp, Runningpaw following. "Hey Foreststar, we wanted to know if we could keep a patrol stationed at the border, to watch for Bloodpaw and stop him before he attacks. What do you think?" Blazestreak shifted his paws uncomfortably; he realized he had interrupted a moment.
Well, I guess it would be good to guard the border, but wouldn't that tire all of our warriors?" Foreststar said thoughtfully. "I don't think that's nesseccary."
"Okay, Foreststar." Blazestreak replied, then turned to Hawkclaw. "Yes, as well as Rainlily, and Barkpelt." He answered, then strode out of camp to consult his patrol.
Hawkclaw walked in. "Blazestreak told me to get, Rowanflight, Barkpelt, Rainlily, Stonefang, and myself, to go on a hunting patrol. Let's go!" he meowed. Raggedflight got up. "Um.. I'm Ragged. Not rowan." he said. "Oh well. You both look alike." she replied.
The troop walked into the forest. Un-aware of the fox, hiding in the bush.
Blazestreak leaped over a hollow fallen oak, then peered inside, scenting prey. Suuddenly a huge pair of jaws clamped down on his back, piercing deep into his body. His eyes glazed over and a he choked on a surge of blood that came up his throat. He coughed it out, unaware of everything else surrounding him. The fox let go, and he crouched on the ground, trying to breathe, but he was suffocating in his own blood, and unbearable pain coursed through his body like a raging fire. He vaguely hear the fox running off, but everything blurred around. he forced himself to focus in a leaf to stay conscious, as red edged his vision.
Hawkclaw rushed in the direction that the fox went. He spotted Blazestreak. In a pool of blood. He was still alive, but barley conscious. "BARKPELT! GO GET STARGAZE!!! NOW!!!" he yowled as loud as he could possibly yowl.
Barkpelt pelted into Stargaze's den. "Stargaze! Fox-forest- Blazestreak- blood- help!" he managed to get out. But Stargaze understood. He grabbed his herbs and Rainpaw and the three ran into the forest.
Stonefang growled and rushed tawards the sound of the yowl,forgetting the rabbit he'd caught.He scented blood moments before seeing Hawkclaw and Blazestreak.Scenting the fox,he looked around wearily.Seeing that the fox had run off,he turned to Hawkclaw."Whitch way did the fox go?"He asked."I'll fallow it,while you stay with Blazestreak till Stargaze comes."He suggested quickly.
A howl came from the nursery. "Great Starclan! Now what?!" Stargaze exclaimed. "Help! Stargaze!!!" Fawnpelt said. "Foreststar is kitting!!" "NO!!!!" Rainpaw screamed. "What are we going to do?" "Barkpelt, how bad is Blazestreak?" Stargaze asked somewhat calmly. "Pretty bad. Barely conscious." Barkpelt replied. "STARGAZE!!!!!!!!!!!" Dapplenose howled. "FORESTSTAR NEEDS YOU!!!!!!!!!!" "Rainpaw." Stargaze said. "Grab the herbs you need. Go to Blazestreak." Rainpaw nodded and ran off with Barkpelt.
(Nursery) "Is she going to be alright???" Dapplenose asked. The med cat didn't answer. "Where- is- Stone- fang- I- want- him- here- now-!" Foreststar managed to get out. "Where is he??!!" Stargaze asked. "WHERE IS HE!!!!?????" "Runningpaw!" Fawnpelt said. "Go find your brother!" Runningpaw nodded and dashed off. "Hang on, Foreststar. He's on his way." Dapplenose whispered. "Two kits! Both she-cats." Stargaze announced. "But, thats a huge pool of blood...... will she be okay?" Fawnpelt asked quietly. "I don't know. It's up to Starclan to decide now." Stargaze said sadly.
(Forest) "What the..." Hawkclaw said, seeing only Rainpaw. "Where's Stargaze?!" "At camp." Rainpaw said. "WHY?!" Hawkclaw asked. "Foreststar's kitting!" Rainpaw told him. Blazestreak's eyes flew open. "Is- she- al- right- ?" he asked. "Maybe." Rainpaw said worriedly. "But right now, my jod is to-" "HAS ANY OF YOU SEEN MY BROTHER, STONEFANG??!!" Runningpaw shreiked, running past. "Um... yes. He went that way." Hawkclaw pointed with his tail. "Okay, thanks!" the apprentice said and ran off. "Okay. now lets get you fixed up..." Rainpaw muttered.
(Following Stonefang) "STONEFANG! STONEFANG?" Runningpaw yowled. "Runningpaw?" Stonefang asked, puzzled. "Whta are you-" "Come with e. Hurry!" Runningpaw said, not giving him a chance to speak. "OKay, but why?" "Foreststar wants you." Stonefang stopped. "Is she ok?" "No." "LETS GO!!!" Sronefang howled. (Taking it to nusery)
(Entrence) RowanClaw dipped he head to the guard on duty "I'll be back soon" he murmured to him/her. He sprinted out into the forest trees flying past him as he zoomed dodging and jumping. Somebody wouldv'e thought that he had lived her all his life, stealing prey, he had. He padded under an root that led into a secret den. He was carrying a mouse "I brought you some food FrostWhisper.." he whispered to his mate. "Thank you RowanClaw," she whispered to him. Everybody thought that FrostWhisper was dead.. she wasn't.. RowanClaw had saved her. A monster had came by and hit her. IT didn't kill her but everybody thought it had. It gave her a bad wound, he healed her until she was better. RowanClaw always hated the days, as they past by waiting till night when he could be with his loved. The only reason FrostWhisper had not come back was because it was almost time for her kitting. "I must go now, okay FrostWhisper? I'll be back tomorrow night.." he whispered to her. She nodded. He padded to the medicine cat den.
(Medicine Cat Den)
"StarGaze.. I have something to show you.." He barely whispered to the medicine cat. RowanClaw took her/him to FrostWhisper.
Blazestreak's body shook violently and uncontrollably, and his muscles burned with a fire that tore through him. Rainpaw gently dabbed an oozy green leaf into the gory wound and he roared in pain; Rainpaw flinched away, but he breathed, "Sorry-Ah!" Suddenly to top of off his mental and physical pain he was feeling currently, a wave of dread and remorse washed over him, and he knew what had happened moments before he heard all the kits wailing. "Foreststar." He whispered, a tear dripping out of his eyes. I knew this day would come! What's your problem? No, I should have told her! Now look at yourself! All I have left of her are two kits that aren't even mine! The more he fought internally about this the more he lost sanity- he was going to put himself out of his misery. Using the last of his strength, he stumbled away from Rainpaw and unsheathed his claws, when he saw a silvery glimmer in front of him. Foreststar stood in front of him as StarClan warrior. "Your Clan needs you to be there for them. There's to much at risk to leave them now. You must gain your nine lives right now- before you die on your only one." She touched her nose to him, and the StarClan forest came into full view. (posting the rest on the homepage)
Runningstream paded out of the warriors den,seeing Waspwing and Seawind she paded over to them smiling."Hi Seawind,hi Waspwing.I haven't missed any patrols,have i?"She asked,looking over to where Dapplednose seemed to be telling Wildpaw and Whitepaw to do something.
Waspwing shook his head, and beckoned her and Seawind over to the camp entrance. The former apprentices had to do their silent vigils tonight, and Waspwing was excited. He would be up all night... By Runningstream. He'd liked her for so long, and was worried she didn't notice. Finally he could hang out with her for awhile, even if it Seawind WAS there too.
Runningstream smiled and fell into step with Waspwing as all three of them padded over to the camp entrence.I can't beleive i forgot about the vigil!She thought sitting down near the camp entrence.Her eyes glowed excitedly,after tonight they would truely be warriors!
Dawnfrost looked around the camp. It was dark aready. She padded across towards the warriors den. ForestClan is so different to DarkClan(her birth clan)! She greeted the new warriors: Runningstream, Waspwing and Seawind with a nod of her head as she past them and went inside the warriors den. Closing her blue eyes, she went to sleep.
The moon shone brightly above them. Waspwing had always imagined this moment, and thought he'd get tired, but he was way too excited for that. A leaf quivered a few feet off; he padded up to it, scenting the air. A mouse? That was way easy prey. He pounced and killed the small mouse, and brought it over to Runningstream and Seawind. He cocked his head. Seawind shook his head and sat down, tucking his tail. Runningstream smiled, and he crouched down beside her. They shared the prey in silence.
Seawind looked up at the other cats eating. He wasnt hungry, he had already had a thrush. Sighing deeply he settled down for a nap. He thought about how he didnt really have many friends, despite being in the clan his whole life, Sewind had only made aquaintances, never having a best friend
Runningstream looked around as they finished the prey and smiled.Her gaze finaly rested on Waspwing.She watched him for awhile but quickly looked away embaressed as she relised she'd been staring at him and thinking about how hadsom he looked.What's wrong with me?Waspwing is a friend noughthing more.She thought,but suddenly she found herself wondering if they could ever be something more.
Waspwing felt jittery with excitement of being around Runningstream, and kept her gaze locked in his mind. The sunrise was coming; it's pale pink cracked the distant horizon, breaking the silent dark blue of the night. He noticed her fur spiking up to keep her warm. Waspwing shuffled next to her,wondering if he should... Could he? He settled down next to her, their flanks pressing. He heard her purr lowly. A sudden urge made his tail twine with hers. Runnigstream hesitated, and cold fear stopped him. What if he was going way to fast?

ReplyDeleteThe former apprentices had to do their silent vigils tonight, and Waspwing was excited. He would be up all night... By Runningstream. He'd liked her for so long, and was worried she didn't notice. Finally he could hang out with her for awhile, even if it Seawind WAS there too.
Runningstream smiled and fell into step with Waspwing as all three of them padded over to the camp entrence.I can't beleive i forgot about the vigil!She thought sitting down near the camp entrence.Her eyes glowed excitedly,after tonight they would truely be warriors!
ReplyDeleteDawnfrost looked around the camp. It was dark aready. She padded across towards the warriors den. ForestClan is so different to DarkClan(her birth clan)! She greeted the new warriors: Runningstream, Waspwing and Seawind with a nod of her head as she past them and went inside the warriors den. Closing her blue eyes, she went to sleep.
ReplyDeleteThe moon shone brightly above them. Waspwing had always imagined this moment, and thought he'd get tired, but he was way too excited for that.
ReplyDeleteA leaf quivered a few feet off; he padded up to it, scenting the air. A mouse? That was way easy prey. He pounced and killed the small mouse, and brought it over to Runningstream and Seawind. He cocked his head.
Seawind shook his head and sat down, tucking his tail. Runningstream smiled, and he crouched down beside her. They shared the prey in silence.
Seawind looked up at the other cats eating. He wasnt hungry, he had already had a thrush. Sighing deeply he settled down for a nap. He thought about how he didnt really have many friends, despite being in the clan his whole life, Sewind had only made aquaintances, never having a best friend
ReplyDeleteRunningstream looked around as they finished the prey and smiled.Her gaze finaly rested on Waspwing.She watched him for awhile but quickly looked away embaressed as she relised she'd been staring at him and thinking about how hadsom he looked.What's wrong with me?Waspwing is a friend noughthing more.She thought,but suddenly she found herself wondering if they could ever be something more.
ReplyDeleteWaspwing felt jittery with excitement of being around Runningstream, and kept her gaze locked in his mind. The sunrise was coming; it's pale pink cracked the distant horizon, breaking the silent dark blue of the night.
ReplyDeleteHe noticed her fur spiking up to keep her warm. Waspwing shuffled next to her,wondering if he should... Could he? He settled down next to her, their flanks pressing. He heard her purr lowly. A sudden urge made his tail twine with hers. Runnigstream hesitated, and cold fear stopped him. What if he was going way to fast?
